He wouldn't turn to the spirits. He wasn't that far gone yet. Yet his mind weighed him down like an anchor. No, he thought, not now. There would come a time and a place for that. That moment was neither.
He closed his mind. Detached from himself. And he let loose. For hours, he just was. No thoughts, no considerations, nothing. Even when he felt his body protest, burn, scream, he did not stop. No, he thought, not now. There would come a time and a place for that. That moment was neither.

Happy New Year!
May you have fewer neither moments, and many delirious ones in 2009.
God bless!
Interesting
@ Gina.
I'm glad you did. And yes, purging is important.
@ Preeti.
Don't you know me?
@ Lady Bastard.
wtf is dead right.
@ fishbowl.
Yeah, i'm looking forward to the delirious ones... You have a good one, too...
@ Pratz.
Thanks.
Reminds me of Albert Camus' "Myth of Sisyphus". You're more optimistic than Mr Camus - in his world, there would neither be a time nor place for that. Life, in its eternity, was a thoughtless, hopeless void.
But let's get away from Mr Camus and his ilk. Wishing you a very bright and colorful new year 2009 bringing in all the nice things you'd want it to bring in.
@ Aries.
Being not as well read as many, and therefore, unlike you, never having read Mr. Camus, I can't really comment on that, can I?
But as you say, on a brighter note, here's hoping you have a wonderful year, too.

Talk, my friend. Now that you've read this section, the urge to speak has increased. I know. It's all right. It happens...
Stop fighting it. Talk.
